AMY HUBBARD BIO
Amy Hubbard's musical journey started at her uncle's karaoke gigs, where she first felt the thrill of singing in front of a crowd and realized she had a voice people wanted to hear.
She grew up in the theatre, which gave her a deep appreciation for storytelling and the emotional power of performance. That background still shows up in everything she does -- her stage presence, expressiveness, and ability to really connect with an audience.
Amy's first major musical project was Lil' Penny, a duo and band known for tight harmonies, strong songwriting, and a blend of folk, rock, and pop that won over crowds all over New England.
Since then, she's continued to expand her musical world. She's part of The Coterie, a jazzy group with smooth grooves and soulful vocals, and leads Muthah Hubbard, a bold, high-energy country band known for its powerful performances.
An important part of Amy's musical life has been 93 North, an acoustic duo with her dear friend Scott. They've been playing together for nearly two years, blending rich harmonies with a rootsy, stripped-down sound that creates connection-driven, intimate performances. 93 North brings together all of Amy's influences--from her theatrical background to her pop, folk, and country sensibilities--making space for both heartfelt ballads and upbeat favorites. For Amy, it's not just another gig--it's a meaningful collaboration with a close friend, and a chance to bring her full range as a performer to the stage.
SCOTT KING BIO
In the heart of Sudbury, Massachusetts, where suburbia meets the symphony of small-town life, Scott King's musical journey began. Armed with just an acoustic guitar and a soulful voice, Scott stepped onto the coffeehouse stages in and around Boston, carving out the initial notes of what would become a rich and diverse melody of his career.
Scott's story took a transatlantic turn when he embarked on a musical pilgrimage in the early 90's, touring the enchanting landscapes of Denmark. This international expedition broadened his sonic horizons and prepared him for his role as the frontman and co-writer for the original rock band, Xguru. The band headlined many of the city's most celebrated venues, such as Bill's Bar, The Rathskeller ("The Rat"), and The Middle East.
Scott's original compositions resonated far beyond the Boston city limits, finding a home on AAA and college radio stations. His songs, born from the raw honesty of the singer-songwriter tradition, struck a chord with audiences and critics alike.
The rhythm of Scott's career has included cover bands as well. He has lent his guitar prowess and vocals to various groups, including The Beatleitos—an homage to the timeless tunes of The Beatles.
Now, in the latest chapter of his musical saga, Scott is thrilled to join forces with his long-time friend, Amy, embarking on a new collaborative venture. The synergy between Scott's seasoned musical ease and Amy's formidable vocal skills has given birth to a duo that effortlessly blends the old and the new, the familiar and the innovative.
As the duo takes center stage, Scott King invites audiences to join him on this musical odyssey—a journey that spans continents, decades, and genres, united by the enduring power of authentic and soul-stirring music.
